About Boundary Attendance

The reason for conducting a boundary meeting is for the landowners to confirm the boundaries of their land. By accurately measuring the boundaries and determining the boundaries, it is beneficial for both parties. In addition, by agreeing on the boundaries, a written document will be kept, which will serve as a preventative measure against future boundary disputes.

 

Boundary inspections are requested as a means of clarifying boundaries, such as when confirming the extent of land ownership when buying or selling land, when building a new house to ensure that construction work such as hedges or block walls does not cross the boundary, or when the boundary is marked by a boundary marker and is not clear.

We will hold an on-site boundary meeting.

*If it is not possible for all adjacent landowners to attend at the same time, the meeting will be held individually.

In such cases, we thoroughly listen to each party's concerns about the boundary line and communicate the situation to the other adjacent landowners in a fair and neutral manner so that no contradictions arise, and obtain their agreement.

Boundary markers will be installed on-site.

Boundary markers such as metal studs or metal plates will be installed at the agreed upon boundary points to clearly indicate them.

We will exchange boundary confirmation documents with the client.

Both parties will sign and stamp a confirmation document stating that they have agreed on the land boundaries and exchange one copy each.

*The seal will be affixed with a registered seal, so you will need to obtain a seal certificate. We will cover the cost of obtaining this. Although it is a small thing, we would like to thank you for the trouble we caused you during the boundary inspection. Nowadays, when applying for registration at the Legal Affairs Bureau, a seal certificate is not a required document, but in principle, our office asks that you attach a seal certificate and affix your registered seal as proof that you have agreed to the land boundary with the owner himself.

In principle, fees etc. will be paid after you have signed and stamped the boundary confirmation document.

Please keep it in a safe place so that you do not lose it.

If you have a boundary confirmation document, it can be used when determining boundaries in future land sales, when registering the division of land, or when conducting a cadastral survey in the past and it can serve as an explanatory document showing that the boundaries were agreed upon.
